Unlock 1.0 Guidelines to Make India More Powerful
With the current Lockdown 4.0 ending on 31 May
2020, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued revised guidelines
for Lockdown 5.0 for reopening of activities outside containment zones across
India. These guidelines would come into effect from 1 June 2020 and would be
effected till June 30, 2020. In lockdown 5 guidelines, the government has
allowed several relaxations. Lets have a look over all the guidelines of Unlock
5.0 :
Here are the new guidelines for movement of goods and travel within country:
1.
Face covering: Wearing of face cover is compulsory in public places, in workplace and
during transport.
2.
Social distancing: Mandatory to maintain a minimum
distance of 6 feet (do gaz ki doori) in public places. Shops will ensure
physical distancing among customers and will not allow more than five people at
one time.
3.
Public places: Spitting in public places will be punishable with fine, as may be prescribed
by the states or UT or local authority in accordance with its laws, rules or
regulations.
4.
Consumption of liquor, paan, gutka, tobacco etc. in public places is
prohibited.
5.
Gatherings: Large public gatherings continue
to remain prohibited.
Marriage related gatherings: Number of guests not to exceed 50.
Funeral or last rites related gatherings: Number of persons not to exceed 20.

Screening and hygiene: Provision for thermal scanning, hand wash and sanitizers will be made at
all entry and exit points and common areas. Frequent sanitization of entire
workplace, common facilities and all points which come into human contact like
door handles will be ensured,
Note: The above mentioned guidelines are only for the states where the state govt
has declared no containment areas.
Why has the lockdown been extended for a month?
The lockdown 5.0 is no actually the extension of the full lockdown.
The guidelines issued by (MHA) appeales that the lockdown is being extended in
only containment zones until June 30 . The containment zones will be declared
or announced by state govt, depending upon the severity of the coronavirus
outbreak in the particular area.
Malls, hotels, and restaurants; places of
worship; schools and colleges, all have been allowed to open in prescribed
manner over the next couple of months. Malls, hotels, and restaurants, and
religious places such as temples, mosques, and churches will reopen from June 8
onwards.
Schools, colleges, coaching institutes, and other
such educational institutions will re-open after due consultations with parents
and other stakeholders in July.
List of activities allowed from June 8- Unlock 1
- Religious places of worship like Temples, Mosques, Gurdwaras and Churches
- Hotels and Restaurants
- Shopping Malls
- Remaining hospitality sector
Condition - The reopening of above places will be governed
by social distancing norms and other regulatory measures that will soon be
released by the Union ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
